Best Inns in Paraty RJ

A location It makes all the difference when choosing a guesthouse in Paraty. We have separated the main places in the city:

HISTORIC CENTER

For me, The ideal is to try to stay close to the historic center. This choice It will make a difference especially at night.. Although the city isn’t that big, there’s nothing better than being able to leave the hotel at night on foot to have dinner and go for a walk without worrying about a taxi or car, right? Therefore, it is worth investing a little more and choosing a hotel in this region..

And it doesn’t just have to be in the historic center itself. It’s worth finding an inn close to the center. It will be cheaper, it will be next door and, perhaps, it will even be quieter.

In fact, we made a post with all the attractions of the historic center of the city and another with the best restaurants. Both are worth a read.

WHERE WE STAY

We stayed at Carpe Diem Boutique Hotel. It is located almost on Praia do Pontal, but It is just a 5-minute walk from the historic center.

The location is perfect. At night it was super easy to walk to the part of the center where the bars and restaurants are. Furthermore, the hotel is great. It’s in a very spacious and cool house with a Paraty feel. The room is very comfortable and the breakfast is very good. The hotel staff is super friendly and attentive. Ahh, and the hotel has a swimming pool.

OTHER INNS IN THE HISTORIC CENTER

A Pousada Aconchego is an option in this region. The location is great, it has a pool and is very charming.

With good reviews from guests, the Pousada do Ouro It is right in the historic center in a building that looks like the city. The hotel has free parking.

A Literary Inn It also has excellent reviews, but is a little more expensive. That’s where the restaurant is Quintal das Letras, one of the most famous in the city. One of the main features of the guesthouse is its library with more than 1500 books and films. It also has free parking.

Among the inns in Paraty is the one at Marchioness. Also with a great location, close to the Largo da Matriz and from Pontal Beach, and has a swimming pool and garden. There is free parking.

A Courtyard Houses is another great option. Just like the Pousada Porto ImperialThe Pousada Pardieiro and the Sandi’s Inn which are a little more affordable.

For those who want to save money, there is Che Lagarto Hostel.

BEACHES

Although in the city itself, the beaches are not so beautiful, there are good options for inns in these regions.

PONTAL BEACH

Another option is to stay at Praia do Pontal region. Although not so beautiful, the beach, which has some shacks, is next to the historic center. So, it’s also easy to walk around.

The guesthouse we stayed at (Carpe Diem Boutique Hotel) It is between the beach and the historic centerin other words, excellent location.

Anyway, it’s not worth staying in this region thinking about the beach itselfsince she is not very good. It’s worth it for being close to the historic center and also for a quick stop at the beach in the late afternoon.for example, to have a drink before returning to the hotel.

The good thing about these inns in Paraty located between the center and Pontal beach is the price. It’s usually cheaper to stay here than in the historic center itself..

Some suggestions for inns and hotels in this region are: Beach Inn, Princess Isabel, Porto Village, Bela Paraty It is Countess Inn.

JABAQUARA BEACH

In the city of Paraty itself, the Jabaquara Beach it’s the best. However, it is always worth remembering that the good beaches are far away. To get to know them, you need to take a boat trip.

Jabaquara Beach is separated from the historic center by a large hill. So, the walk to get there is long. It’s only worth staying here if you really want to enjoy the beach and don’t care much about enjoying the night in the historic center using a taxi

Here, they are Pousada Praia do JabaquaraThe Rising SunThe Fruit of the Earth and the Brunello Hotel. Daily rates here are more affordable.

OTHER REGIONS

There are also guesthouse options in Paraty located in new center (see discounted options). I think it’s worth more for those who want to save money or who need to resolve an issue in the city center. Perhaps, for example, you are just passing through and will need to catch a bus to Trindade from the bus station. Otherwise, I don’t think it’s worth the savings.
