Another Florida Cup will begin in Orlando and just like 2019 and 2020, the queen of axé Ivete Sangalo will lead the opening show of the Florida Cup Fun Fest. The eighth edition of the event that brings together sport, music and entertainment, comes with many new features this year.
If you are in Orlando, mark your calendar that Ivete Sangalo’s presentation will take place at Universal Orlando Resort on July 17th, starting at 10pm (Brasília time). You don’t need a separate ticket to participate, just use your Universal Orlando Resort ticket or annual pass and enjoy one of the greatest Brazilian singers today. In her third appearance at the Florida Cup Fun Fest, Ivete Sangalo brings this year the theme “Ivete 50 years: the biggest party in the universe” and in her repertoire she will bring songs from her new projects: “O que ser de nos” (recorded in partnership with singer-songwriter Tierry), “Moral” and “Petit Gateau”. Original songs that make up the album “Onda Boa”, such as “Mexe a Cabeça” and “Onda Poderosa” will also be part of the show.
For those who enjoy football, excitement is also guaranteed. Two great rivals from the English Premier League, Arsenal and Chelsea, will face each other on July 23rd at the Camping World Stadium, in Orlando, to compete for the traditional Florida Cup trophy.
The London classic will be the final game in the week of the new ‘FC Series’, an event that marks the national expansion of the Florida Cup in the United States. In 2022, the FC Series will have the “Clash of Nations” tour through two more American cities, with matches that will entertain the public, in the days leading up to the big duel. On Saturday, July 16, the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host the clash between Chelsea and Club América, from Liga MX (Mexico). On the 20th, the Bank of America Stadium – another venue that is new in 2022 – will be the stage for the fight between the hosts, Charlotte FC, the most recent member of Major League Soccer (MLS), and Chelsea. Arsenal will face Orlando City SC at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando.
