I finally checked into the stunning Park Hyatt, a classic palace hotel in Paris. I had been there other times, in one of its excellent restaurants, Café Jeanne. In fact, before it became a hotel, there was a haute couture atelier known as Haute Couture Designer Madame Paquin. However, her first name was Jeanne and that's where the affectionate tribute comes from. In a prime address, the luxury hotel near Place Vêndome is discreet and modern, despite being in a 19th century building, it has sophisticated decor and cozy rooms. Like all five star hotel in Paris, the Park Hyatt Paris takes gastronomy very seriously, and also has the starred Pur', both led by award-winning chef Jean-François Rouquette. Therefore, a complete hotel in Parisand it’s worth adding to your itinerary!

Luxury hotel near Place Vendome
The hotel lobby hosts seasonal art exhibitions, and bronze statuettes by Parisian sculptor Rosaline Granet make the Park Hyatt Paris' decor even more elegant. Right at the entrance, we have the busy concierge desk, which was spectacular throughout my stay.
In total there are 156 rooms, 45 of which are suites, renovated in 2019 and designed by interior designer Ed Tuttle. I stayed in the Park Executive Suite, spectacular, by the way, between 50 and 60 m². It had a spacious living room, with a sofa, desk, minibar, coffee maker and even some treats upon arrival. I love these details!
The suite also had two separate bathrooms, which I found very practical for the couple. The bedroom had a king size bed, table, armchair, bathroom with bathtub, great shower, and bathrobes. In addition, it also had a closet, meaning plenty of space.
The gastronomy
Just past the lobby, there is Café Jeanne, with three distinct environments. There is the dining room itself, a comfortable lounge as well as a pleasant terrace. The spaces are all extremely elegant with contemporary decor that alludes to old Parisian cafes. In fact, it is important to highlight that a “café” in France is completely different than in Brazil. Of course there is a variety of hot drinks, but it also offers a wide list of wines and other drinks. In addition to classic dishes, such as omelettes and salads, it can have a wider range of cuisine.
In the case of Jeanne, it opens from 7 am to midnight and celebrates the most typical Parisian “art of living”. In other words, it is the scene of countless meetings throughout the day, both personal and work, between tourists and/or residents. You can read more details of my full experience at Café Jeanne here.
Pur' has a Michelin star and is also run by chef Jean-François Rouquette. Open only for dinner, the menu brings a more creative approach to French gastronomy, and offers two tasting menu options, with six or nine courses, as well as some à la carte dishes for those who prefer. The elegant environment has an open kitchen and tables arranged in circles.
Winter season
And at Christmas time, they set up a cozy winter cottage in the courtyard, the The Park Chalet, which refers to the French Alps. Guests and the general public can have a typical mountain experience as if they were outside of Paris, with a special menu for lunch and dinner. Reservations must be made via the website.
The Spa
Of course, this luxury hotel near Place Vêndome also has Le Spa, measuring more than 800m², with treatment rooms, saunas and La Mer brand products. In addition, there is also a 24-hour gym and a beauty salon by renowned Parisian hairdresser John Nollet.
